Confederate Motorcycles

Confederate Motorcycles was founded by Matthew Chambers in 1991. By 1994, Confederate had manufactured its first motorcycle.

In 2005, the business suffered severe damage from Hurricane Katrina causing a temporary halt in production. The Confederate Motorcycles have deveolped a good reputation on the back of precise hand craftsmanship. In 2007, the B120 Wraith and F131 Hellcat took first and second place respectively in the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building show in Sturgis, South Dakota in the production manufacturer category.

After the severe factory damage in August 2005 by Hurricane Katrina interrupted production, Confederate Motors moved its corporate headquarters and assembly operations to a warehouse in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Production resumed after the reoganization and move in early 2006, with an announcement in May of their $5 million expansion plans for production of a third, more affordable, model.
