Kawasaki are the smallest of the Big-4 motorcycle manufactures. In 1963, Meguro merged with Kawasaki.

Kawasaki first exported their motorcycles to the USA in 1965. In 1972, Kawasaki released the Z1 to the U.S.a. market.

The Kawasaki racing colour is green.
