Malaguti Moto was founded in Italy in 1930 by Antonino Malaguti.
The company is privately owned and operated by the Malaguti family.
Antonino Malaguti was himself an Italian bicycle distance race champion.
Until the end of War World II Malaguti had to stop production while Italy was invaded and later on when its owners were hiding in the mountains from the retreating Germans.
During the Vietnam War, Malaguti exported over 80% of production to Saigon.
Malaguti is regarded as a world leader in motor scooters.
